Wow, how awesome it has been to hang on to the thought that the same power that God used to raise Jesus from the dead, the same power that raised so many others is the same power that gives me strength to face the day.
I LOVE what The Message has to say about Romans 8:11:
"...for you who welcome him, in whom he dwells—even though you still experience all the limitations of sin—you yourself experience life on God's terms. It stands to reason, doesn't it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he'll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ's!"
There is nothing...NOTHING that the power of God cannot fulfill in your life. Any need you have, God can provide for, any void in your life He can fill. I love the idea of dealing with trial and at times feeling deadened by pain and having the promise that my body is as alive as Christ's. Praise God!
